The company was established to meet a recurring demand in the construction market in Queensland. According to research, the Australian market increasingly requires more workers in the construction industry. With this in mind, we aim to contribute to this need by connecting people, streamlining processes, working hard, and delivering the best possible results within the given timeframe.

The name ‘SJ’ comes from the surname of our founders, São José (Saint Joseph), referencing the tradition of construction and manual work carried out by a man who historically contributed to the life of an important figure in society. Just as he did in the past, we strive to make a positive impact—helping transform lives, fulfill dreams, and build lasting stories.

Our founder, Igor São José, is Brazilian and a father of two boys. He has lived in Australia since 2010, initially arriving for an exchange program but eventually falling in love with the country. He worked hard to stay and continues to contribute to this incredible nation. Since 2019, he has been working as a Project Manager and Civil Engineer, developing operational strategies, structural analyses, and managing both projects and people.
